Bio

Lyndsay Klipfel is an educator and the founder of Lyndsay Klipfel Education LLC. She leads a dynamic, multi-hyphen lifestyle: working one-on-one with private students, coaching parents, facilitating workshops for educators, and creating customized curriculum. She is also the co-author of Thinking Critically About What Matters: An Unconventional Guide.

Born and raised in Lynchburg, Virginia, Lyndsay is the youngest of six kids. Her mother, an elementary school teacher, ignited her lifelong passion for learning, reading, and creativity. Lyndsay graduated with honors from Radford University in 2012, earning a BA in Theatre and receiving the Outstanding Graduate award from the School of Dance and Theatre. She went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Education from California State University, Chico, in 2016.

Lyndsay taught in the classroom for seven years, where she thrived on creating hands-on, student-driven curriculum that encouraged individual creativity. Her classroom was known for its bright colors, welcoming atmosphere, and flexible seating arrangements. She’s deeply passionate about Social-Emotional learning, advocating for addressing the human needs that traditional education often overlooks. Lyndsay also served as a Social-Emotional coach, helping other educators create spaces where students could truly be themselves, rather than conforming to rigid “student” norms.

In 2021, Lyndsay transitioned from the classroom to launch her own company, Lyndsay Klipfel Education. Now, she works directly with students and families, providing individualized academic support while fostering a love of learning and boosting academic confidence. Many of the families she works with stay connected for years, building lasting relationships with both the students and their families. In this way, Lyndsay becomes not just a tutor, but a true thought partner and collaborator, deeply familiar with each student’s unique situation, struggles, and successes.

Lyndsay lives in Santa Monica, CA, with her husband (who also happens to be her co-author) and their mischievous cat. Outside of her work in education, she’s passionate about collecting records, baking sourdough, quilting, and has recently developed a love of running— she’s hoping to run her first half marathon this summer.
